TORONTO, ON, October 9, 2025 - Award-winning Romanian-Canadian author, singer and songwriter Angelica Ganea will celebrate the launch of her new children's book, Love Is Light: Transmute Fear Into Love, with a special event at Indigo Bookstore The Well in Toronto. The event is an "enchanting Sunday afternoon of story and song." Ganea will read form her new book, sign copies for attendees, and perform her new original single, Love Is Light, which premiers on the same day. "I wrote Love Is Light' as a companion to my upcoming children's book 'Love Is Light: Transmute Fear Into Love'. Both share the same important message: choosing love over fear - always remember that everything is worthy of love, even the parts of ourselves we don't always understand. The book conveys this through words and illustrations, while the song brings it to life through music. Together, they invite children and adults alike to embrace compassion and to cultivate acceptance - of oneself and of others." - says Angelica Ganea.

Love Is Light is a children's tale that takes readers on a journey to explore the eternal dance bewteen darkness and light. Though written as a children's book, it has a deeper message that touches the hearts of adults just as profoundly. The story encourages a new perspective, reminding us that love means compasison of all things, and that even our shadows are part of a greater whole.

"The voice that lifts souls to light"

Artist Review by Carmen Oltean, Poet, Toronto, ON

"Angelica Ganea is more than a singer, composer or writer; her presence radiates an ethereal warmth. As in her book 'Love Is Light' she reminds us that love is not something to chase but something we already are."

Born in Romania, Angelica has always been an artistic spirit, attracted to music and poetry. Before making her way to Canada at the age of 24, she was a child performer and rising star in the Romanian artistic world, active in both, pop and music theatre. In a world where art is often eclipsed by commercialism, Angelica remained faithful to her mission: to bring authentic beauty to people’s souls. Once in Canada, persistence and self-discipline became her closest companions over the next three decades, as she embarked on a journey of healing her heart and re-discovering her passion for music and writing. She graduated from Fitness at Seneca College in Toronto and worked in the wellness field for over a decade. In parallel, she continued her artistic journey; writing books and releasing music that reflect her sensitivity and inner depth. Her path was not easy. She had to make her mark in an industry where success does not only come from talent, but also from perseverance. However, Angelica carved out a place for herself, through the strength of her voice and heart. Despite her success, she remained a modest presence, almost shy in the face of praise, but grand in front of the stage.

Angelica is the recipient of the Award of Excellence from Canpak Chamber of Commerce Canada. In 2010 she released her first original English album titled Remember Who You Are. The album was accompanied by a book of short stories describing her thoughts behind each song on the CD. Ahead of its time, this inspiring work concludes with one main thought: we are love. Due to its spiritual message and unusual symphonic arrangements —not common in a pop album at the time— Remember Who You Are did not get Angelica a record deal. But the consistent adversities in the music industry didn’t stop her from continuing to pursue her passion. Remember Who You Are was followed by Classical album Sacred (2015), Christmas (2018), I Believe (2024) and a number of singles— including the 2021 international song collaboration titled We Will Overcome, for which she produced the vocals of the 50 participating singers. She is the author of 3 books: Remember Who You Are (Short Stories, 2010), Habits Rule You: One Simple Answer to Achieving Your Nutrition & Fitness Goals, (2017) and children's book to be published in 2025, which she also illustrated, titled Love Is Light: Transmute Fear Into Love — also available in two bilingual versions: English/French (Love Lifts You On Wings of Light/ L'amour te porte sur des ailes de lumière) and Romanian/English (Love Gives You Wings of Light/Iubirea Îți Dă Aripi de Lumină).  Angelica is currently working on releasing her original single Love Is Light (and its Romanian version Aripi de Lumină), which she wrote as a companion to her children's book.

When in 2019 she was asked to do a talk about her life journey, Angelica put together a one-woman show titled The Story Behind My Song. In this song & storytelling show, Angelica takes her audiences with wit, humor and candour on a fascinating ride, ending with a powerful, unexpected message. "You shared with us a fascinating life journey and managed to redefine success for us all.", said Doreen Scott-Dunne, Program Director at Central Peel Mixed Probus Group of Canada. Six years later, Angelica's The Story Behind My Song one-woman show is still receiving praises for its emotional impact and stunning vocal performances.
